Tammy Lovell is a freelance journalist and copywriter based in London.

Her features and news reporting have appeared in a wide variety of online and print media including Mother and Baby, Mail Online, Metro, Student BMJ and Travel Weekly among others.

Tammy specialises in health journalism and it's a real passion. She was employed as a feature writer for the BMA for four years, covering health policy, the NHS and issues affecting doctors. Some areas of particular interest include mental health, humanitarian issues, women's health and health IT.

She is a member of the Guild of Health Writers and was commended in the online category and shortlisted in the specialist media category of the Health Writing Awards 2016.

Tammy's interest in women's health led her to qualify as a breastfeeding peer supporter and take Unicef training in working with mothers and health professionals. For two years she ran a local breastfeeding cafe for new mums.

Most of her spare time is spent either in caf├ęs working on her first novel or with her daughters Maisie and Enid. She is proud to be a member of the Romantic Novelists Association's New Writers Scheme.
